This policy explains what information Popcode, Inc. ("Popcode," "we," "us," or "our") collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. We aim to keep this short and human.
What we collect
- Account info: name, email, password (hashed) when you sign up.
- Project content: photos, videos, project names, and badge images you upload.
- Usage data: when a project is scanned, what device/browser was used, and which target was matched. We use this to help creators understand how their projects are being viewed.
- Beta feedback: any messages you send through the Beta Feedback widget, plus your email if you provide it.
How we use it
- To run the Service — host your projects and deliver videos to viewers who scan them.
- To send transactional email (account confirmation, password reset, beta feedback acknowledgments).
- To improve Popcode based on aggregate usage patterns and feedback.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train AI models.
Where it's stored
Popcode uses Supabase (which runs on AWS) to store accounts and project content, Vercel for hosting, and Resend for email. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments.
Sharing
Anyone with your project's short URL can view that project — that's the point. We don't share your account info or analytics with anyone outside Popcode except as required by law or to operate the Service (see "Where it's stored").
Cookies and local storage
Popcode uses cookies and browser local storage only to keep you signed in and to remember small UI preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
- Edit or delete a project: any time from My Popcodes.
- Delete your account: from My Account, or by emailing info@popcodeapp.com. Deletion removes your account record and your projects' files from storage.
- Email preferences: transactional email (sign-in, reset, etc.) is required to operate the account. We don't currently send marketing email.
Children
Popcode is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email info@popcodeapp.com and we will remove it.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll let you know through the Service or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
